Flamar MX (NSAID) drug
- Paracetamol BP 325mg
- Chlorzoxazone USP 250mg
- Diclofenac Potassium BP 50mg
Therapeutic class: Anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic products non-steroids.
Indicated in all conditions where spasm of the muscle is involved i.e. torticollis, myositis, bursitis, tendonitis, tenosynovitis, cervical spondylitis, frozen shoulder, low back pain, trimus, sports injuries and all sprained and strained muscles. Also in acute musculoskeletal disorders and relief of pain & inflammation.
Contraindicated in individuals hypersensitive to its ingredients and in those suffering from peptic ulcer. Due to potential cross-sensitivity to other NSAIDs, the drug should not be given to patients in whom other NSAIDs have induced symptoms of allergic or anaphylactoid reactions.
Side effects/ adverse reactions, drug interactions
Adverse effects include drowsiness, dizziness, malaise, diarrhea, indigestion, flatulence, liver test abnormalities, abdominal pain, headache. Avoid alcohol, aspirin, anticoagulants, CNS depressants. In rare cases concomitant administration of diclofenac may lead to change in lithium, digoxin concentration. Toxicity may occur after the administration of methotrexate, indomethacin and triamterene.
Precaution and warnings
It should be administered with care to patients with impaired liver and renal fuction, asthma, bleeding disorders, cardiovascular disease, patients prone to aspirin and anti-inflammatory induced allergy, in pregnancy and in lactation.
Caution should be observed while driving or performing tasks which require alertness as it may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Notify physician of skin rash or itching. Safety in pregnancy, lactation & children is not established.
Dosage regimen and directions for use: one tablet three times a day
