NAUMA PAIN BALM

Methyl salicylate is a non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory, local analgesic agent. It is applied externally to relieve pain. It is absorbed through the skin and acts by the inhibition of the enzymatic production of prostaglandins which participate in the pathogenesis of inflammation and pain.

The volatile oils, menthol and camphor when applied to intact skin have a counter-irritant effect, causing a sensation of warmth, which is followed by a mild local analgesic and anaesthetic effect.
